Microblading

Microblading eyebrows is a semi-permanent makeup technique similar to eyebrow tattooing, but far more advanced.

It is done manually, with a microblading tool – a blade consisting of 10-12 tiny needles – which is used to make thin incisions of the surface of the skin that look like natural brow hairs.

They imitate their:
• length
• color
• thickness
• and shape.

Special pigments in the color of the natural hairs are then deposited into the skin, and the result is an illusion of thicker arches with a modified shape that best suits your face.

The results are very realistic and virtually unidentifiable, which is why this treatment is sometimes called 3D microblading.

Unlike the traditional tattooed eyebrows, which look unnatural and last forever, as they go far deeper into the skin, eyebrow microblading pigments are inserted in the epidermis, at a depth of only 0.08 – 0.15mm.

Prepare for Your Permanent Makeup Session2021-11-20T22:49:40+00:00

PRE-PROCEDURE INFORMATION

All permanent cosmetic procedures are a multi-session process. You are required to come back for at least one touch-up visit before it can be determined that your work is complete. Touch-up visits are scheduled at 4-6 week intervals or longer.

Be prepared for the initial color intensity of your procedure to be significantly sharper, brighter, or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. It will take time for this transition based upon how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates.

While these tattooed colors may initially simulate the exact color and tone desired, they will not always remain a perfect match. Tattooed colors are constant, while your own skin color will vary depending on exposure to cold, heat, sun, and circulatory changes. For example, if your skin tans and you had a scar camouflage, your surrounding skin will become darker in appearance than the treated area.

Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it is best not to make any social plans for a day or two following any procedure. It is always best to avoid these procedures within months prior to important life events such as weddings. Procedures may take longer than expected to be complete under some circumstances.

Wear your normal make up or bring your brow pencils to your consult, but you do not have to for your procedure. Please do not wear mascara to an eyeliner procedure.

Any tweezing or waxing should be done at least 48 hours prior to the procedure; electrolysis no less than 5 days before. Do not resume ANY method of hair removal for at least two weeks.

Any eyelash or eyebrow tinting or eyelash curling should be done no sooner than 48 hours before, or two weeks after the procedure.

DO NOT wear contact lenses during or within 48 hours following the eyeliner procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pre-tattooed condition.

Following the eyeliner procedures, as a safety precaution, we recommend that you have someone available to accompany you or drive you home.

Refrain from the use of alcohol, aspirin, aspirin-containing medications, ibuprofen, or other blood-thinning medications for seven days before and two days after any procedure.

Refrain from judgment-altering drugs for at least 24 hours prior to any procedure. No medication should ever be discontinued without first consulting your physician.

A skin test is offered upon request.

What Is the Difference Between Microblading and Powder Brows?2021-11-20T07:46:47+00:00

Even though the two procedures are somewhat similar, that is, both involve the artist inserting the pigment into the surface layers of your skin, the technique used is different, as well as the result, which is the biggest difference between powder brows and microblading.

Microblading creates individual strokes that resemble the eyebrow hairs, while powder brows create tiny dots to achieve a misty, powder-filled brow. By doing so, the result resembles the look of makeup application that includes a shade underneath the hairs.

What is powder brows’ advantage over microblading is the fact that powder brows last a bit longer than microblading, which is typically around 18 years on average, without touch ups.

The choice between microblading vs powder brows comes down to which style you prefer. Unlike microblading, powder brows don’t look perfectly natural, but rather like an on-point brow makeup look.

Who is Microblading For?2021-11-20T06:28:07+00:00

The best candidates for getting microbladed eyebrows are people who have patchy, sparse brows or no brow hairs at all, but want to add the illusion of fuller and thicker eyebrows.
Basically, microblading eyebrows is for anyone who uses eyebrow enhancement makeup products every day.

Microbladed brows are also a great solution for people who don’t have their natural eyebrows, like people with alopecia, or people who suffer from brow hair loss caused by a number of reasons (natural hair loss, invasive treatments such as chemotherapy, postpartum hair loss, etc.). By microblading 3D eyebrows, entire arches can be created from scratch.

The treatment works best on people with normal to dry skin. Microblading oily skin is problematic, but not impossible. The problem is the fact that pigment is often ‘rejected’ by oily skin, and the microbladed eyebrows don’t last as long due to the overproduction of sebum, which literally pushes the pigments out.

Will I have to Shave my Brows for Microblading?2021-11-20T06:27:16+00:00

No! The artist works around the natural hairs, so there’s no need to remove your eyebrows for microblading.

Who Isn’t a Candidate for Microblading?2021-11-20T06:26:38+00:00

Unfortunately, microblading eyebrows isn’t safe for people who suffer from certain conditions:

• People with diabetes
• People with serious diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, or autoimmune disorders
• People with any bleeding disorders
• People who take blood thinning medications
• People who’ve recently had Botox injections or fillers in the area (at least 2 weeks should pass before you get your brows microbladed)
• People with viral infections or diseases
• People who are going through chemotherapy
• People with skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area
• Age skin or skin with little elasticity
